After the events of Nova: Covert Ops, Tyrador IX’s booming tourism industry was decimated. To restore faith in the system’s safety, Tyrador IX’s elites assembled a huge force of imposing, extravagantly outfitted soldiers to parade around and provide resort security, helping tourists to feel safe in the system. Unfortunately, the elites cut corners on training in order to afford the most visually striking structures . . . which became a problem when the Cerberus Zerg launched an attack.
The self-serving leaders of Cerberus were forced to take their shadowy organization even further underground when Valerian Mengsk took power. To survive, they’re offering their services, including a suite of cybernetic Zerg bases controlled from afar, and a rival system has now hired them to invade Tyrador in an act of corporate sabotage.
The ancient Ihan-rii protoss were as arrogant as they were powerful, believing themselves the only true descendants of the Xel’naga. Their civilization disappeared long ago. Then, a distress call from the dark templar Zeratul reached a fleet of Ihan-rii protoss drifting in stasis on the very edge of the Koprulu Sector. Now they’re determined to rebuild their ancient empire and restore their architecture to its former glory, starting with the system that once served as their capital: Tyrador.
